Getting young people involved in computer gaming might sound like the sort of thing a large number of parents would cringe at. However in the case of Flaktest that's not the case. They are a Youth e-Sports and Education Community who are based in Perth, Western Australia. Flaktest not only work with the school system to educate students around both the competitive side of gaming, they also get students involved in the community side of gaming as well.

What is the community side of gaming you may ask, well part of the mission statement of Flaktest is "LEVERAGE THE STUDENTS PASSION’S TOWARDS ESPORTS TO DRIVE THEIR ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL GOALS" and also "SUPPORT PARTICIPATING STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH LOCAL EVENTS AND SCHOOL PROGRAMS".  That is definitely one of the more positive spins on youth, gaming, and education that we have seen.  Therefore it should come as no surprise that Streamline Servers is a proud sponsor of Flaktest by providing servers for both the competitive and educational sides of their activities.

One of the competitive gaming competitions that Flaktest run is the "Flaktest Gaming Australian League of Legends National Championship".  Over eights months of preliminary rounds led to the finals of the championship being held in Perth, Western Australia in October 2017 between Roxburgh College and Fairvale Highschool.  Our congratulations go to the eventual winner and champions Fairvale Highschool and comisserations to runner-up Roxburgh College you can catch a blog of the event at the Flaktest Website

Streamline were very proud to attend the finals and get to meet the Flaktest team, while also being more than happy to support such a great event.  We look forward to attending and supporting other events Flaktest host in the future.  We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the other event sponsors PLE Computers and Corsair.

We will watch with interest as Flaktest continue to engage the youth of Australia in both e-Sports and education, and look forward to continuing to support their unique way of mixing the two to give better outcomes for our youth.
