Following the 1.0 update, save data format has changed. Please follow the steps below to upload your saved data from your PC to your Valheim server:
  1. Locate your saved data on your PC. It is typically found in the following directory: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds_local
    (Note: Replace USERNAME with your actual Windows account name).
  2. Connect to your server via FTP. If you need assistance, please refer to our knowledgebase article on how to connect to your server using FTP
  3. Using your FTP client, navigate to your server's Server\worlds_local directory
  4. Upload your entire world folder (and its contents) from your PC to the server's worlds_local directory
  5. Go to your game panel's Commandline Manager and set the world name to match your uploaded world folder exactly
  6. Set a server password that is at least 6 characters long
  7. Start your server. Your world should now load successfully.
