This guide will help you figure out how to upload a saved file to your StarRupture server!

Step 1:

Join your server for a few minutes, and then stop the server.
(This will generate Saved folder from the File Manager)

Step 2:

Go to File Manager and locate the save game directory: StarRupture\Saved\SaveGames\

(To properly replace the SessionName folder, delete all of its contents.)

Step 3:

Upload the SessionName folder from your local files to the server.
For example: Streamline folder. This directory should contain the .sav and .met files to load the saved data.
Otherwise, upload them manually by zipping them and extracting them inside the SessionName folder.

Step 4:

Once you have uploaded your save game .sav and .met file to the  SessionName folder,
rename these files to be AutoSave0.sav and AutoSave0.met

Step 5:

Go to Configuration Files

Click "Text Editor"

In the existing DSSettings.txt file, ensure the following settings are configured:
(leave all other settings unchanged):

{
"SessionName": "Streamline",
"SaveGameInterval": "300",
"StartNewGame": "false",
"LoadSavedGame": "true",
"SaveGameName": "AutoSave0.sav"
}

Setting Description Common Values
SessionName Save game session name (max 20 characters) "MySaveGame"
SaveGameInterval Auto-save interval in seconds "300" (5 min)
StartNewGame Create new world "true" or "false"
LoadSavedGame Load existing save "true" or "false"
SaveGameName Save file to load "AutoSave0.sav"

Ensure that StartNewGame is set to false before starting the server, or your save game will be overwritten!
