This article will show you how to install Darkness Falls mod.
Note: All of your saved files and progress will be deleted if you play the standard version of the game.
So please get a backup data from the server to your local files.
"Please check the table below for the minimum RAM requirements"
- Reinstall the server via "Actions" tab.
- In the actions tab, use the reinstall option to reinstall your server.
(Make sure to put your preferred hostname before executing reinstall) - After the reinstall, leave the server in a stopped state.
(Do not click STEAM UPDATE if you want to use Alpha version. Otherwise, proceed Steam Update) - Go to Mod Manager in Game Panel and install the Darkness Falls mod. Wait at least 10 minutes and join!
(Make sure it's your preferred version or the LATEST).
If you want to use previous versions start again from Steps# 1-3 and skip Step# 4 and proceed to Steps# 5-9. Otherwise, Steps# 1-4 is enough. - Go to UPDATES - And install the Downgrade version that we have that matches your preferred Darkness Falls.
- Go to Mod Manager in Game Panel and install the Darkness Falls mod
(Make sure it's the right version or the LATEST). - Go to Configuration Files after doing the task above, and edit your config in DARKNESS FALLS "Text Editor" only.
(See below tables for map options) - (Set the WorldGenSize to 8192 manually as it will not run via default size) - Save and Exit the "Text Editor" from Darkness Falls Configuration Files.
- Start the server and use the Console to monitor the startup. (Join or check the server in Steam in 5-10minutes)
NOTE - A21 version - You cannot use the game-provided pregen worlds with this mod (PREGEN6k, PREGEN8k or PREGEN10k) - You must use one of the mod's pregens below.
(Go to your server's CONFIGURATION FILES after installing Darkness Falls mod and Updating to the Alpha version and look for DarknessFallsConfig.xml "TEXT EDITOR")
